School Streets Launch Day Mon 23rd May 2022
Meon Infant and Meon Junior Schools' celebrated the launch of the ‘School Streets’ trial in partnership with Portsmouth City Council to help reduce Portsmouth’s carbon footprint on Monday 23rd May 2022.
To mark the occasion and launch of ‘School Streets’, the schools welcomed special guests from across the local community including "Nelson", Portsmouth Football Club’s mascot, and local community police. The schools also welcomed back previous students that now attend The Portsmouth Academy to volunteer and help walk children into school and the Stompa Monster was also around for photo opportunities with children.
This was a fantastic morning for all the children and staff and demonstrated Meon Infant and Junior Schools' commitment to helping the environment.
