Fairtrade Poster Competition March 2023

Fairtrade Fortnight is about promoting making the small switch to Fairtrade which supports producers in protecting the future of some of our most-loved food and the planet. 

At Meon Junior, our meal provider, Chartwells, used many Fairtrade items in their school meals. To promote the use of Fairtrade products, they launched a poster competition for children to design a Fairtrade poster, and our winners received some Fairtrade chocolate.

Sarah Brown, who supported the work of Fairtrade Fortnight at the school, said: "I believe that it's important that children have an understanding of where their food and other products comes from, the journey it takes, those involved in its production and the wider impacts that our shopping choices have. The children really enjoy learning about the countries that food such as cocoa and bananas come from."
